“I’m originally from Mexico City and moved to the Netherlands 15 years ago to pursue a master’s degree in Eindhoven. Thanks to a sponsorship from ASML — a Dutch company that welcomes hundreds of internationals each year — I began a journey that would shape my life in more ways than I expected.

At ASML, I met my husband. We dated, got married, bought a house, and are now raising our three children in a joyful, multilingual household (Spanish, Dutch, and English fly around our dinner table!).

In 2023, we spent a year living in Spain so our kids could deepen their connection to the Spanish language and another culture. We returned in 2024 and went through the process of family reunification to bring my parents to live with us. Since late 2024, they’ve been proud Dutch residents — and our household of seven is full of warmth, chaos, and shared learning.

I’d love to share what I’ve learned — from parenting between cultures and navigating Dutch bureaucracy, to managing a multi-generational home. Whether you’re just arriving, building community, or figuring out what “home” means to you — I’m here happy to help!

“I grew up in Argentina and moved to the Netherlands three years ago, settling in the welcoming city of Den Bosch. My Dutch husband and I were searching for a stable and nurturing environment to raise our two children. We first moved to Valencia, Spain — a place that offered a familiar language and an easier cultural transition — before continuing our journey to the Netherlands to be closer to family.

When we arrived, the kids and I didn’t speak Dutch at all. The children bravely started primary school without understanding the language, and I had to find my way through a new culture and system from the ground up. Watching them adapt, make friends, and slowly find their voice in this new world has been both humbling and inspiring. I went through my own transformation too, eventually completing the inburgering process and becoming a Dutch citizen.

We’ve faced plenty of challenges, from learning the language to understanding the culture, but those experiences have shaped our family and made us stronger. These days, Spanish, Dutch, and English flow through our home — sometimes all in the same sentence. I’m passionate about building connections with other internationals who are also navigating this transition. If you’re looking to feel more grounded, share your story, or simply connect with others who understand what this path feels like — I’d love to meet you”
